First thing was taking Miss Peaches to the dog park.
Then we met Doug for a beer at DIG and went on downtown for packet pick-up. Honestly, packet pick-up was a mess. There was no signage for how to get your bibs, or get your bibs before you get your shirt and bag. I will say one of the vendor's gave away miniature body glides for free! They are too cute!
Next was onto dinner. We attempted to eat at two restaurants downtown but both had 2 hour waits and we were not interested in that. We ended up eating at Vespa on Daniel Island. This is a favorite of mine and I think Kristen enjoyed it too. After dinner we got ready for the race and hit the sack.
Saturday morning we did the Charleston Half Marathon. Our goof friend Tiffany and her kids Will and Ella came to watch us finish. After realizing we were freezing and not participating in the post-race party we headed out for some mexican lunch. Then we hung out at the condo and just visited.
That evening we met another friend Meg and her husband Darian and son Henri for dinner at Sermet's. Another fantastic meal!
Sunday we both attempted to sleep in and failed. We had a nice brunch at home and then headed downtown for some site seeing and shopping. On our way home we hit up a local fish market for dinner.
Then we did something super crazy and went on a Sunday Runday Recovery Run! We did a nice 4.91 miles around Daniel Island.
After that we grilled out our fish from the market, relaxed, and called it a night.
Kristen left when I headed to work Monday morning. It was a very nice, and much needed girls weekend!
